Wispy gray phantom lines of achtinolate
and tremollite, up to 30 per inch, run parallel with a few twists
and turns through the clear polished Madagascar quartz crystal. Large
2 pound 13 1/2 ounce prism that is 7 inches by 5 inches by 3 1/2 inches
is a quartz crystal formed with metamorphic rock
This unique quartz crystal is water
clear with wispy inclusions, a couple of rainbow planes, and included
flat chlorite crystals with metallic luster and some twinning. The
high quality quartz crystal with flat base weighs 3 pounds 5 ounces,
6 by 3 1/2 by 2 1/2 inch.
Cloudy orange spots and bits of included
orange quartz give a splash of color to the lower third.. Wispy inclusions
twine through the clear quartz. The polished crystal is 3 3/8 inch
by 2 1/8 in by 1 3/8 inch and weighs 5 1/4 ounces.
Clear Madagascar quartz crystal has
a termination faces with window pane structure; one has red hematite,
one with cottony tremolite and one with sparkling microcrystals.
At the base of the prism is a vertical plane of tremolite and green
chlorite. The polished prism with flat base and colorful inclusions
is 5 1/4 inches by 2 inches by 2 3/8inches, 1.6 pounds.
The equal dimensional quartz prism
is 5 7/8 inch by 2 1/2 inch by 2 1/2 inch. Icy inclusions fill the
base of the polished prism. A wispy, cottony tuft is suspended 2/3
up the clear quartz crystal.
Quartz twin crystal is 4 1/2 inch
by 4 inch by 2 1/2 inch. Tracing the plane of joined crystals is
a band of icy inclusions similar that that seen in faden quartz.
Clear polished quartz crystal from
Madagascar has a wispy inclusion in the center and a vertical blade
inclusion with rainbow reflection. The inclusions are evident in
the photos as water clear quartz against the dark back drop. 4 3/4
by 1 3/4 by 1 1/4 inch, 8 ounce crystal.
A stack of phantoms are highlighted
by a coating of limonite on the reverse side. The clear quartz point
is polished on three sides. The unpolished sided reveals the structure
that forms the phantoms. The 41 gram, phantom quartz is 2 inches
by 1 1/8 inches by 13/16 inch.
The polished amethyst crystal from Madagascar
is dark purple with a sparkling luster. The 15 ounce amethyst is 3
inches by 3 inches by 2 1/2 which is a large size display crystal.
The 6 inch tall polished quartz crystal
has a blush of smoke and amethyst with some skeletal quartz features
in the interior. 2 1/2 inch wide by 2 1/4 inch wide and weighs 1 pound
11.5 ounces. The photos are on a window sill with light coming in
behind the smoky amethyst quartz crystal.
Clear Madagascar quartz crystal has
wispy inclusions, blushs of purple amethyst, and a column of smoke
marking the meeting of prism faces within the crystal. The crystal
appears as a blocky crystal with a flat termination. The opposite
side shows that this is three parallel crystal joined into one. Over
a half pound, the 276 gram crystal is 2 7/8 inch tall by 2 5/8 inch
wide by 1 1/2 inch thick.
Light brown smoky quartz is cut from
massive clear quartz into a flat prism shape with steep angled sides.
Several twisted leaf shaped inclusions of thin blades or micro bubbles
are suspended through the center of the cut and polished smoky quartz
crystal. 4 inch by 2 1/2 inch by 1 3/8 inch.
Polished smoky quartz point from Madagascar
is wide at the base, tapered to a tip. Included 1/4 in from the
widest prism face is a prism plane included with bits of mineral
that are surrounded with a brown halo. Blade inclusions at the base
along with the mineral inclusions reflect light within the 3 inch
by 1 1/2 inch crystal.
Madagascar quartz crystal has wispy
inclusions at the base and is clear at the tip with thin blade inclusions
that produce sparkling light. The tip has a blush of amethyst and
several smoky phantom prism faces included within the 2 1/8 inch
tall by 2 1/8 i8nch by 1 1/2 inch, 178 gram polished quartz point.
Madagascar quartz point is window
pane quartz with smoky phantoms and a spot of amethyst at the upper
center. The back and one side have depressions that are not polished
marking the skeletal formation. 2 1/2 inch by 1 1/2 inch by 1 1/4
inch.
Clear quartz has wispy dark smoky
inclusion and zoned smoky and amethyst at the tip. The polished
Malagasy smoky quartz crystal is 2 1/2 by 1 1/2 by 1 1/4 inch.
A flat grouping of double terminated
smoky quartz crystals are joined together while retaining their
individual crystal shape. The Madagascar elestial smoky quartz formation
is 2 3/8 by 1 5/8 by 7/8 inch thick.
The flat polished quartz prism has
smoky phantom terminations. Clear at the bottom with wispy inclusions
and brown cola color smoke at the top of the 3 1/2 by 3 by 1 1/2
inch thick, weighs 14 ounces.
Parallel veils of bubbles are oriented
at 45 degrees through the smoky quartz polished prism. Metallic
silver colored rutile needle crystals up to 1 1/2 inch pierce the
quartz in all directions. The 1 1/4 pound Madagascar included smoky
quartz is 4 3/4 by 3 by 2 1/2 inch.
1 pound 3 ounce Madagascar enhydro
smoky quartz is 3 1/2 by 3 1/4 by 1 5/8 inch. The flat polished
quartz prism has smoky patches and water bubbles. (note arrows in
photos) Planes of reflective filaments make bright rainbow flashes
in low lighting. Reflective filaments appear to be lined up on opposite
sides of an old healed fracture.
Dark black smoky quartz has sparkling
metallic flakes included in the polished prism. The Madagascar smoky
quartz is 4 by 2 1/4 by 1 7/8 inch, weighs 1/2 pound.
Slender 3 1/3 by 7/8 by 5/8 inch polished
quartz prism has smoky phantoms through the mid section of the crystal.
The lower fourth of the crystal is included with minerals and is
hit and miss polished.
The spray of pineapple crystals have
clear tips and red hematite included crystals cascading down the prism
faces. 3 inch by 3 inch by 1 3/4 inch thick pineapple cluster of four
crystals is a handsome quartz display.
Glistening white pineapple quartz cluster
has one large crystal and six smaller crystals all secondary crystals
packed along the prism faces. The crystal cluster has the largest
crystal at a 45 degree and a grouping of smaller crystals facing the
opposite direction. laying flat; 3 1/2 inch by 3 inch by 1 1/2 inch
tall.
The 4 inch by by 2 by 1 3/4 inch pineapple
quartz is from Ambatfinhandrana, Madagascar. The equilateral point
is milky translucent quartz with attached quartz crystals on two sides.
Water clear quartz has a floret of reflective
blade inclusions at the center and green moss included along one face.
4 1/4 inch tall and 2 5/8 inch thick. 291gram
Gold color rutile needle crystals in
clear quartz polished point from Madagascar is 1 7/8 by 1 1/2 by 1
inch. The rutile quartz point has other clear sparkling inclusions
dispersed through the quartz and blocky micro crystals of rutile at
the ends of some rutile needles.
Clear quartz is filled with fibrous
chlorite and achtinolate. There is an orange blushat the base and
several flat chlorite crystals on one end. 1 1/2 by 1 3/8 by 1 1/4
inch.
Snow white tremolite in a thin sheet
is included within three faces of quartz crystal faces. There is also
some white tufts along one of the clear sides. Thin blade inclusions
reflect light within the 2 1/2 by 1 1/2 by 1 3/8 inch polished quartz
crystal.
Clear quartz polished point with sparkling
inclusions is filled with metallic red rutile needle crystals. The
rutile needles stand in stark contrast to the clear quartz. 2 1/4
by 1 3/4 by 1 1/4 inch is a good display size crystal that is still
space efficient; desk top small shelf.
4 1/2 by 2 1/2 by 2 1/4 inch is 1 1/4
pounds, All faces are polished except for one face left natural. This
face has a rippled appearance on the outside that appears as little
crystals on the inside. Limonite clay is caught up in the interior
crystal structure making a bright crackled face when viewed through
the water clear quartz
Manganese oxide a primary mineral in
contact metamorphism of manganese ores, forms dome shaped sprays of
slender prisms within quartz crystals. The hollandite (Ba(Mn4+,Mn2+)8O16)
inclusions look like stars to the naked eye. Numerous hollandite inclusions
are suspended in two slightly milky quartz crystals that are 2 1/4
inches by 2 1/4 inches by 1 1/2 inches. Ansirabé, Madagascar
is the source of the hollandite quartz
Bits of red hematite are suspended throughout
the 1 1/4 inch by 2 5/8 inch by 1 3/4 inch, 164 gram (near 6 ounce)
polished quartz crystal. The red hematite layer is located 1/8 inch
from the exterior faces producing a phantom within the crystal.
Slender quartz crystal has mossy chlorite
inclusions. The polished included quartz is 2 3/4 inches long and
1/2 inch thick with a 1 1/8 inch partner slanting downward at 45 degrees.
3 1/2 by 2 3/4 by 2 1/4 inch water clear
quartz polished from a crystal that can be displayed upright or laying
down. The polished crystal has long clear needle crystals included
in the quartz. Blade inclusions have flashing rainbows.
