Orange Crocoite Tasmania

All sides of the 3 3/4 inch by 2 inch by 1 1/2 inch mineral specimen are coated with orange crocoite prisms. Vugs on the Tasmania mineral specimen hold large crystals. Crocoite is lead chromate which is formed as a secondary mineral from alteration of hydrothermal deposits. Close-up is the area lower left on the first photo.
