is 3 1/2 by 2 3/4 by 2 1/8 inch. Aquamarine specimen is from Hunza
region, Pakistan. |

Aquamarine in Matrix

Quartz crystals jut out from either
side of a mass of quartz and albite feldspar. At the center is a 7/16
by 1/4 inch, rich blue aquamarine crystal. The opposite side has a
smaller aquamarine of similar color. 3 1/2 by 2 by 1 3/4 inch also
has small black tourmaline prisms on the sparkling feldspar surface.
The aesthetic Pakistan aquamarine specimen has symmetric balance. |

1 5/8 inch long prism is 13/16 by 5/8
inch thick. There is a flat termination. The crytal is half of a hexagon
prism in albite feldspar. The flat side showing is striated showing
the interior structure of the prism. The aquamarine is medium blue,
slightly milky, and translucent. |

1 9/16 inch (40mm) by 5/16 wide, lustrous
light green beryl is deeply striated and terminated. A single prisms
becomes two prism terminations. This green beryl from Pakistan has
secondary façade feature on the prisms faces that resemble
light green beryl from Brazil. The beryl is on platy feldspar matrix
and is resting on a blocky black tourmaline crystal. |
